Happy Thanksgiving!

I made this card for the "I Feel the Love Project" for November.  The Thanksgiving cards will go to the Atascadero Christian Home.  It is a retirement community.  If you like to make cards to bring joy to others, this is a great site.  She has a new "project" each month.  I have enjoyed taking part in many of the projects.

I just bought the digital stamp, Bird Dreams from A Day for Daisies.  I love this stamp!  There is just something so special about it.  I added a little extra design on her dress and boots.  It was a tip that I learned in Online Card Classes.  I just completed the class,  Copic Markers for Card Makers.  It is a fantastic class.  I highly recommend it.  I have taken several classes from them and they are fantastic!   The clouds are also a technique that I learned in this class.

I Feel The Love Project for Ashley

This is part two of my post for May's, I Feel the Love Project.  My previous post is a card for Ashley's father.  This one is for her.  You can read more about this family here.

I used this adorable image from A Day for Daisies.

I love this image. It was my husband's idea to have her floating out of the water.  I love the idea, but not so sure of my take on it.  I really needed to lightly color over her so that she looks like she is in the water, not in front of it.  But, I didn't want to risk ruining the card because I needed to get this card in the mail.  I just hope that it brings a smile and/or sense of hope to Ashley.

Happy Thoughts today and always!

Swing into Spring Challenge

Are you ready for spring?  I know that I am.  Come join us for the Swing into Spring Challenge at Sunshine Mail Challenge Blog.  For those of you who may not be familiar with this challenge, Sunshine Mail Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit, provides children in need comfort, support and joy through free Sunshine Mail Care Packages.  Sunshine Mail is filled with handmade cards, care essentials and other age appropriate items and delivered to children in hospitals, homeless shelters and in foster care.  What an awesome way to share our love of card making.

A Day for Daisies is our fantastic Sponsor for this challenge.  I love their stamps and own several.  They have a very sweet and gentle look.  Very heartwarming.

I am using the digi stamp, Spring!  Is this not so darn cute?
