Stamptacular Sunday - Winter Bliss

This week is really fun challenge at Stamptacular Sunday. Create a card or project that has a WINTER SCENE!  You can use a single stamp that is a winter scene BUT...if you create a winter scene all on your own your name will entered into our drawing THREE times!  Woohoo!  I can't wait to see your creations.  Our awesome sponsor this week is Saturated Canary.  The winner receives their choice of two digis.  Her stamps are so adorable.

I tried a few zillion (only a slight exaggeration!) winter scenes for this challenge.  I just couldn't find one that I was happy with.  I finally decided to try this idea I have had saved on my Pinterest board.  There a few cute variations.  One with epsom salts, a mason jar and a single votive candle and the other used a bottle brush tree instead of the candle.  I loved the simplicity and elegance.  I thought Tilda with Cross Stitch Heart would do well in this wintry scene.  I used acrylic instead of the jar lid to let in a lot of light.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - No Rules!

This Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is No Rules!  This week's winner will receive a $15 gift certificate from Marker Pop and choice of 7 digis from Bugaboo Stamps.  Wow!  Please come and play.

I have been wanting to try stamping on candles for a long time.  It is way too much fun and quite addictive!  This is a two-sided candle that can be used year round.  One side is Christmas, the other is inspirational.

Here is a close up.  Isn't she beautiful?

These are digital images that I printed out on tissue paper using my inkjet printer.  I taped my tissue paper to a piece of heavy cardstock before I ran it through my printer.  It went through my printer fine.  Both images were colored with Copics then I cut them out as close to the image as possible and adhered them to the candle using wax paper and my heat tool.  I was too heavy handed with the heat tool on the little Manger scene (melting) - thus the inspiration for a two sided candle!

I first practiced on a couple of lightly used ivory candles that I had at home.  I bought a few white candles to make a few for Christmas gifts.  I prefer the white.  The images come out much more vibrant than the ivory candles.

Gotta have a little sparkle so Stardust Stickles were in order - a little for the angel wings, halo and the star.  I also used them on Victoria on the flowers.  The sentiment for Victoria was created on my computer.  The precious angel sentiment is part of the image.

I will be entering the following challenges:

All That Scraps Challenge - Anything But A Card
