Swirls and Lace Challenge

It's a Swirls and Lace Challenge this week at  Stamptacular Sunday.  The challenge is to create a card or project that includes swirls and lace.  Our fabulous sponsor this week is Meljens Designs.  The winner will have their choice of four digis!   So - grab those frilly embellishments and come join in the fun.

I am using Irish Emma.  I had an entirely different stamp in mind for this challenge and ended up with this cutie.  Isn't she adorable?  I love to make St. Patty's Day cards to honor my Irish Heritage.  My great great grandfather was from Ireland.

Sally's Heart Balloon

Happy Sunday!  Oh my goodness!  I just rediscovered Sassy Cheryl images and bought several.  They are so darn cute.  They will be perfect for donating to Sunshine Mail.  I will post the information below if you would like to donate a card or cards.  :)

So without further ado.....introducing Sally's Heart Balloon

Inside of Card

This is my first attempt at a Clean and Simple Card Design.  I am happy with the way it turned out.
I had a difficult time with her hair.  I tried a new color combo and it was supposed to be blonde, but came out a VERY dull brown.  I thought I would have to scrap it and start over, but colored pencils saved the day. I was going to leave the image inside uncolored, but I just couldn't do it.  I lightly colored it with Copics (after I had already assembled it!) Yikes!  Luckily, it didn't bleed through.

Two's Company Challenge

Happy Sunday!  This week's challenge at Stamptacular Sunday is Two's Company.  Create a card that uses two stamps, two colors and two embellishments.  Our lovely and wonderful sponsor is Stitchy Bear Digital stamps.  They are offering a $10.00 gift certificate!

This was a fascinating challenge, especially staying within two colors.  I am not sure that I succeeded, but it certainly was interesting.  I used the colors purple and brown.  My stamps are Sophia and sentiment, You Make Life Sweet.  The two embellishments are the lace and the flowers.

From The Heart Challenge

I love the Challenge this week at Stamptacular Sunday.  From the Heart.  The challenge is to create a card that uses a sentiment as the main focus of your card.  This is my very first time creating this type of card.  I really enjoyed this one.  Our fabulous sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps.  They have a lot of adorable and quite a few fun and quirky stamps.  The winner will have their choice of 7 digis! Wow!

I used Ava and Deacon Heart from Bugaboo for the inside of my card.  It was really challenging because the front of my card has a vintage/shabby chic look.  I just tried matching their clothes to my papers.
