Tilda in the Rain

This cute little Magnolia stamp is Tilda in Summer Rain.  I colored her for the CMC Copic Challenge - using yellow.  I was not pleased with the way she turned out.  I felt the colors were too bright. I couldn't seem to get her hair right. I used glossy accents on her raincoat and boots, then proceeded to stick my finger on it to see if it was dry - it wasn't - oops!  This was not going according to plan.  I thought, well, I can throw her away or give her to my granddaughter to see what little creative way she would use it.  Then I decided to try a tag.  I think it turned out pretty cute.

A close up of her boots and raincoat showing the glossy accents.

You're Beautiful

This is my first time using a sketch.  I liked it...really takes the stress off and it didn't take very long to make the card.  This sketch is from Skipping Stones Design.  The image is Fairy Princess from Mo's Digital Pencil.  She was colored with copics.  Papers are Sweet Stack from DCWV.  I used Spellbinders for the circles, squares and the sentiment.  I love the inside sentiment.  I'm sorry, I don't know who to give credit to on this one.

Je t'aime!

This is my first attempt at a vintage card.

I used DCWV adhesive backed fabric paper for the background and the heart (which is behind the photo).  The butterfly is from Bo Bunny. Added fabric brads, bow, feather and sentiment. Unsure about the brads, feel they take over.  May remove them altogether or replace with a more subtle option.

Okay, here is with a different set of brads.  What do you think?

I appreciate you taking the time to visit.

Happy Easter

This is one of my favorite Magnolia stamps.  She is so adorable and so appropriate for Easter.

Here is a close up.

Another view

I colored her with copics and paper pieced her clothes and shoes.  Spellbinders dies were used for the sentiment and the egg.  Memory box dies are the line of flowers and the butterflies. EK success punch for the flowers on the egg. I added some flock to the lamb.
