Stamptacular Sunday - Not just an ORDINARY card!

Hi Everyone!  Time for another fun week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge.  This weeks challenge is Not just an ORDINARY Card.  Create a card that is out of the ordinary and and not traditional!  No FLAT cards allowed.  This week's card should pop-up, stand up, turn into a box, slide, twist, etc. Please don't forget to use a stamp on your card.

This week's awesome Sponsor is BIRDIE BROWN.  The winner can choose 3 digis!

I chose to do a center step card.  I really love the way it focuses on the image.  I was so tempted to make this a white on white card because she is so sweet and tranquil - maybe next time.

This is Christmas Angel Praying by LOTV.

Sisters Altered Bottle

I have been wanting to do an altered bottle forever.  So here is my first attempt.
What better way to start than with family.  This is my sisters and me.
This bottle is 4 sided.  I have placed pictures of my sisters and me on three sides and a sister poem on the 4th side.  I couldn't leave out our brother, so he is hidden behind the love charm.

I couldn't leave my brother out.  He's the baby and eight years younger than me.  So....I hid him on the other side of the Love charm.

This picture was taken last weekend.  My brother lives on the West Coast.  All five of us have not been together in many years.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - No Rules!

This Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is No Rules!  This week's winner will receive a $15 gift certificate from Marker Pop and choice of 7 digis from Bugaboo Stamps.  Wow!  Please come and play.

I have been wanting to try stamping on candles for a long time.  It is way too much fun and quite addictive!  This is a two-sided candle that can be used year round.  One side is Christmas, the other is inspirational.

Victoria by Sugar Nellie

Here is a close up.  Isn't she beautiful?

This is Side 2 of the candle.
CC Designs Swiss Pixie Angel and Baby Jesus

These are digital images that I printed out on tissue paper using my inkjet printer.  I taped my tissue paper to a piece of heavy cardstock before I ran it through my printer.  It went through my printer fine.  Both images were colored with Copics then I cut them out as close to the image as possible and adhered them to the candle using wax paper and my heat tool.  I was too heavy handed with the heat tool on the little Manger scene (melting) - thus the inspiration for a two sided candle!

I first practiced on a couple of lightly used ivory candles that I had at home.  I bought a few white candles to make a few for Christmas gifts.  I prefer the white.  The images come out much more vibrant than the ivory candles.

Gotta have a little sparkle so Stardust Stickles were in order - a little for the angel wings, halo and the star.  I also used them on Victoria on the flowers.  The sentiment for Victoria was created on my computer.  The precious angel sentiment is part of the image.

I will be entering the following challenges:

All That Scraps Challenge - Anything But A Card

(Favorite is the technique of stamping on candles.  Love it!)

Boo-tacular!

It's another fun challenge this week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge.  Create a card or project that is a little on the creepy side.  Our awesome Sponsor this week is Marianne Design.  Love their dies!  Just beautiful.  Please enter your "creepy" project for a chance to win a surprise gift from this fantastic company.

I chose to use Mermaid Witch by Hannah Lynn.  She's lovely, isn't she?  I used some sparklies from my Christmas stash to create seaweed.  I painted some of the seashells with Folk Art Metallic Paint and Stickles on the others.  I assembled and took this card apart three times!  I just couldn't get the look I wanted.  I even cut the side off the card.  Not an easy task, I tell ya!
